The Fan Club

"I've got nothing against God. It's his fan club I can't stand."

I read this quote the other day,

and it struck a chord.

It makes one want to stay away from church.

Some folk in God's fan club fan the flames of fascist faith:

Rampant racism.

Express exclusivism.

Power plays.

Testy trivialism.

Triumphant traditionalism.

Noisy naysayers.

             Petty politics.

                Gossiping gallawags.

It makes Jesus puke.
